What it is
CarterBlock blocks ads and trackers inside apps, games, and in-app browsers using hosts lists — with whitelist and live Blocked counters in Settings.
Main features
- Hosts-based blocking in apps, games, and in-app browsers
- Aggressive game ad patterns when you need them
- Analytics / tracker blocking
- Live Blocked counters + whitelist
- Custom domains when a list isn’t enough
How to use
- Open Settings → CarterBlock
- Leave Enabled on
- Force-quit the apps you care about
- Relaunch — watch Blocked climb
- Whitelist anything you break by accident
Tips
- Kill the target app fully after list changes
- Whitelist first; don’t disable everything for one site
- Reset Stats for a clean “is it working?” check
Honest limits
Cert-pinned / raw-socket ads can slip. Not DNS-level and not Safari Content Blocker. Counters are a signal, not a guarantee.
FAQ
Is CarterBlock a Safari content blocker?
No. It targets in-app and in-game HTTP traffic via hosts-style blocking on Dopamine.
