What it is

CarterEQ shapes the sound of every app — music, video, TikTok and games — on the speaker or headphones. One package picks the right audio path for your firmware.

How to use

1. Install from the CarterWare source (buy, or sign in with Tweak Pass)
2. Open CarterEQ or tap the floating chip and shape your curve
3. iOS 17+: if EQ Status doesn't show path=ioproc, play audio and tap Tools → Enable System EQ

Smooth with video

The audio thread only runs DSP and a flat curve passes audio through untouched. On an iPhone 15 Pro (iOS 17.1), screen recordings with EQ on and off showed the same 60 fps capture, the same video cadence and no audio dropouts.

Honest limits

Tested on iOS 17.1. iOS 14–16 uses the mediaserverd path, which is being re-checked on this release. Dopamine rootless only.
